Summer weather is here, and to me this means pulling out my favorite summer makeup. Makeup has seasons, just like clothing. We sometimes need to adjust our makeup routines because of heat and humidity. I have worked at a makeup store before (Sephora) and found myself often experimenting with different foundations all the time. Every one has different skin types but here are three foundations I swear by during the warmer seasons that I found work best!
Dior Airflash Spray Foundation
I am obsessed with this foundation. It has the perfect amount of coverage without looking cake-y and leave you with a luminous, air flash look. This foundation is a bit tricky to use at first, so I recommend understanding the product and what tools are best for application. I use a foundation brush, I know some like using beauty blenders, up to you. This foundation is on the pricier side, so I have a little trick. Sometimes I will use another foundation first then apply a thin layer of this on top, and this takes away the issue of coverage if you are wanting more, without using a lot of product. Genius.
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation
OK, this is my favorite foundation of all time. I use this year round and it has been so loyal and consistent to me, I swear by this foundation. It is on the pricier side, but it is worth it. What is great about this foundation is it has SPF 15 which is crucial during the summer season spending all your time outside. This foundation is silky and smooth, and blends incredibly, not to mention it smells good.
Minerals Complexion Rescue
This is an awesome foundation if you're on the go and just want some light coverage. This is the ultimate summer foundation because it is a tinted hydrating gel cream with SPF 30. I typically wear this if I'm running errands, or outside by the pool. It is very light but gives a decent amount of coverage while doing amazing things for your skin. I love the foundations that not only give coverage but have benefits too.
I hope you enjoyed reading about some of my fav summer foundations, let me know if you try them out and what you think!
