Is it just me or does it feel like we skipped fall this year? I cannot believe it is already November 19th! It is now time to start thinking about your winter wardrobe again. Trends I am predicting to be popular this winter are statement jackets, velvet, faux fur jackets, the list goes on. I am very eager to see what stores start putting out, because the winter 2017 trends I think will be very chic.
Since many of us are still loving our fall favorites, I put together an outfit that is great for the awkward transition period between fall and winter. Fall fashion consists of a lot of reds and browns, so I decided to make this more "wintery" by bringing out my basic white items.
Here is what I came up with, and the basics to the look:
1.) What I have found with easy winter fashion is the simpler, the better. Any high neck, simple sweater like this adds a classy element.
2.) A great pair of high-waisted jeans. These jeans from Fashion Nova are my absolute favorite of all time. I struggle with finding the right jeans for my body because my middle waist is smaller than my bottom half, common struggle for girls. I ordered these jeans online which I was nervous about, but sure enough they fit right and are now my favorite! ( I ordered a up a couple sizes than I usually wear)
3.) Layering is going to be big this winter. Don't be afraid to try a poncho. I was skeptical about them... however it is like wearing a blanket... it is amazing. I have had this for awhile and never wore it. With the right pairing of a sweater and jeans it was easy to make it work.
4.) A simple black pair of thigh high boots - these instantly add style to your outfit and they are super fun to wear. Mine are from Akira and I have had them for about a year now and still love them!
Winter is quickly approaching and it can be a struggle during that transition period to find an outfit. I hope this inspired some ideas for you!
